Homelessness have a great effect on the children, males and females from various backgrounds living in the cities, the suburbs or the countryside. This issue has been hidden without attracting the people’s attention, because most homeless individuals are not sleeping roughly over the streets. They either stay with friends or with relatives until they are no more welcome there. Thence, they have to sleep within hotels for a short term or take some other forms of accommodation. The problem is a wicked one because the number of homelessness might not seem to rise, but the problem seems to persist and remain consistently. In a broad sense, the focus of this paper is to develop solutions for the challenges of sustainability. In a narrow sense, the focus is on the issue of homelessness in Australia which is a sustainable challenge.

译文： A large number of individuals experiencing long term homelessness have been identified and found in big cities of Australia, including Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. They are regarded as homelessness in Australia if they are found to not have any access to safe and adequate housing or if the sole housing is damaged or the housing has the risk of damaging the health of the resident. Homelessness is not merely the outcome of limited houses. There are varied and numerous causes behind the homelessness, such as domestic violence, unemployment, mental illness, shortage of affordable housing, alcohol and drug abuse, which are the contributing factors to the homelessness level seen across Australia. It is suggested by the researchers that effective policies and services shall be taken to lower the number of homelessness. In the year 2006, it was estimated that the homeless population in Australia was at 105,000 individuals approximately. Even though there was an enhancement in the homeless population between the year 2001 and 2006, the homelessness rate remained to be stable.
