抗击疫情亚太翻译云论坛向翻译工作者发出“云倡议” |Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Webinar on Combating COVID-19
5月11日，由亚太翻译论坛联合委员会和中国翻译协会联合主办的抗击疫情亚太翻译云论坛举办，论坛主题为“汇聚翻译力量 助力亚太抗疫”。
On May 11, the Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Webinar on Combating Covid-19, co-organised by the Joint Committee of the Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF) and the Translators Association of China (TAC), was held with the theme of “pooling the strength of the Asia-Pacific translation and interpreting community to combat COVID-19”.
亚太翻译论坛联合委员会主席、中国外文局副局长兼总编辑高岸明，国际翻译家联盟主席凯文•夸克（Kevin Quirk）、副主席艾莉森•罗德里格斯（Alison Rodriguez）出席论坛并致辞。
Gao Anming, Chair of the APTIF Joint Committee & Vice President and Editor-in-chief of China International Publishing Group and Kevin Quirk, President of International Federation of Translators (FIT), addressed the forum.
来自中国、英国、澳大利亚、新西兰、韩国、马来西亚、缅甸、伊拉克、中国香港和中国澳门等10个国家和地区的翻译专家、学者和企业家通过网络视频方式参与探讨。
Translation experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from 10 countries and regions, including China, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Iraq, Hong Kong and Macau, participated in the video conference.
为增强亚太翻译工作者的团结协作，促进亚太翻译界为疫情防控和各国文明交流互鉴做出更大贡献，论坛向亚太翻译工作者发出“云倡议”，倡议翻译工作者团结一心、携手并进，凝聚翻译共识、汇聚翻译力量，坚持做坚守使命的践行者，坚持做消除隔阂的助力者，坚持做促进民心相通的贡献者，在抗击疫情中浴火重生，共同创造亚太翻译美好的明天。
In order to enhance the solidarity and cooperation of translators and interpreters in the Asia-Pacific region, promote the Asia-Pacific translation and interpreting community to make greater contributions to the prevention and control of the epidemic, and faciliate the exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, an "initiative" was issued on the Forum to the translators and interpreters in the Asia-Pacific region, which calls them to join hands and move forward, build consensus in the T&I community, accomplish their mission, bridge the language gap, promote mutual understanding as well as people-to people connectivity, and create a brighter future for translation and interpreting in the Asia-Pacific region!
